Wild Places

Textures, patterns and colours come together in my painting as light travels through the layers. I enjoy the creative process, seeing my work evolve, the mystery and the possibilities.

Wild Places employs the elements of water, land, trees and birds in an exploration of the margin between what is real and places of the imagination..Birds inspire me as a symbol of tenuous and delicate balance. Such creatures represent a connection between healthy ecosystems and flourishing human populations. They can carry a song of warning, but also seeds of regeneration and therefore hope for the future. These paintings seek to show respect to, and represent, relationships on an infinite level, and the spirit of life.
